I worked as an illustrator for twenty years before I had anything published as a writer. I worked for the Economist, the Times, the Observer, the Telegraph, the New Statesman and the Independent, as well as providing images for everything from theatre posters to labels for canned food.

I started out illustrating my own books, and have begun doing so again. I’ll be putting those illustrations up here as I do them, as well as sharing some of my own drawings and painting with you.
